Cooking, Full List of Recipes and Ingredients in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
What's all this about cooking in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Cooking is a brand-new feature added in the 2.0 update of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It enables players to grow and collect various food-related ingredients — similar to crafting ingredients — and discover various new recipes that they can cook and bake with them.
How do you cook in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
In order to cook, you'll need to do the following:
Purchase the "Be a Chef! DIY Recipes+" app upgrade at the kiosk in Resident Services for 2,000 Nook Miles
Get a "kitchen" furniture item (while any existing "kitchens" or "stoves" will work, a Stonework Kitchen crafting recipe is available to you after updating your app)
Acquire a recipe and ingredients necessary to cook it
And voilà! You'll be a master chef in no time.

Visit your villagers once a day to find one cooking - they will give you their recipe
Purchase the "Basic Cooking Recipes" DIY from Nook's Cranny
Look for bottles on the beach once per day (including mystery islands, Kapp'n tours, and Happy Home Paradise)
Shoot down balloons for a chance to find a recipe (check out our Balloon article to discover which colors give you a higher chance of finding a recipe)
In the next section, we'll share the ways you can find each recipe for the item in the list and get cooking - you little gourmand, you!

Austin started gaming at 2 years old and has been addicted ever since. Her Zelda, Mario, Pokémon & Animal Crossing obsessions freak people out. She habitually carries a mini projector around to play her Switch in console mode in weird places. Her favorite gaming snack is pizza rolls, because greasy controllers are her bugaboo.
So far, i only found Tomato starts and Wheat starts from Leif shop. (November 2021) Maybe i have to Time Travel to different months to get Carrot, Sugarcane and Potato starts.
so this "have peaches as your town fruit" how is that going to work? will this recipe just be something i have to deal with? Or can i go to a friend's town and make smoothes?
@Frurry dang, which means i gotta go get cherry smoothies from you and you can have my pear smoothies... well, it gives more reason to go to other's islands
I came here hoping someone had figured that out. My second character (created for storage and also for a haunted house) doesn't have it, and in fact if he walks into a recipe-crafting home they won't even give him the recipe! I'm guessing there's some sort of minimum something that needs to be done for it to appear, but what that is I have no idea.
@Mary1234 I don't know, cuz yesterdar the update appeared me without doing anything, well... it can be cuz you need T.K already played a song in your island

Can you "eat" the food or are they items essentially?

@raygboyd333 i have cherry smoothies, so seems like the smoothie is only whatever your town fruit is

What if Be a Chef! DIY Recipes+ doesn't appear?
@Alexuxlo Same! Did you’d figure it out?

I call "red herring" on the sandwich recipe. I think that was just a meme.
