Before Cyberpunk 2077, the Polish developer CD Projekt Red was best known for its work on The Witcher series including the award-winning third entry.
With its latest game now confirmed for the Switch 2, it's got many Witcher fans wondering if it will maybe one day bring The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to Nintendo's new hardware in some way or form, following the "impossible port" on the original Switch.
Eurogamer recently asked CDPR about a potential "Switch 2 upgrade" for Witcher 3 and apparently "CD Projekt is keeping that under wraps for now" as the focus is "all in" on Cyberpunk 2077.
Apart from Cyberpunk, CDPR is currently working on its upcoming project The Witcher 4, with a cinematic trailer revealed at The Game Awards last year.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released alongside the Switch 2 and based on early hands on, it's looking quite promising so far.
It's also been confirmed Cyberpunk will be released for Switch 2 on a 64GB game card - containing all of the game and the expansion with "no download required".
