Exactly. 👆 Can't even finish one port, and then internet instant rage mode when the dev doesn't wanna comment on another massive title.

I really hope this happens. I loved the game on Switch but I kind of regretted not playing it on a more powerful console. I would play through it all again if it gets a graphics update.

Oh, it'll happen eventually. It's their only other big game with massive sales potential. Switch 2 would give it one final run to ratchet up another million sales.

Beat the game swapping between Switch and PC via cross save but I'd be all over a Switch 2 version.

My hope is they do a proper Witcher III port to Switch 2 (like what Hogwarts is getting) and not a "Switch 2 Edition" of the Switch 1 version...

I'm in for Cyberpunk at launch (as long as it's not broken), and I'd be all over a good Switch 2 port of The Witcher III as well.

They deserve to make a specific Switch port version and be paid for it.

I spent over 200 hours on the Witcher 3. As much as I would like to see a Switch 2 upgrade I doubt I'll bite. I have far too many other games to play before I would ever give it another play through.

So excited to play Cyberpunk for the first time.

I'd be happy for either an upgrade or new release. But also I never played Cyberpunk so I'll be going there for Switch 2

I bought Cyberpunk on PC with DLC but eventually went to backlog hell. I might double-dip just for the portability and the mouse control novelty in case they decide to include the functionality.

Seriously though I never played a Witcher game aside from watching some episodes of the series but if they do actually make an upgrade pack I might just get myself a copy.

That’s the upside to never owning a different console other than nintendos. I thought the game looked and played great on the switch.

@Hyrule_Herb Yeah i get what you're saying. I for one have never much cared about graphics. If it's good graphics, then cool, but I will only buy it if the game is good. I would much rather have a console with ok graphics and awesome games then a console with awesome graphics and awful games.

An actual upgrade is very unlikely anyway. The Switch version has been so downgraded that no upgrade would bring it to the level of a PS4 for instance. Maybe they could port the PS4 version and sell it at a lower price to owners of the Switch version.

I would want a fps, resolution, and draw distance boost out of an upgrade. That could be done without too much work. Maybe they can find another studio willing to do it so they can focus of part 4

@Poco_Lypso sounds like you want something for nothing which in my view is greedy.

TBH I’d want it to get a fresh new port not an upgrade from the switch 1 version.

Never played it before, and chances are very high I would finally give it a go if it were to release on Switch 2.

But I am not in a hurry, and neither should they be.

If the developers had to continue to upgrade their old games, they would never be able to focus on their new projects.
Just let them move on.

Btw, the Witcher 3 port already uses dynamic resolution and unlocked framerate on Switch, so it will now be able to run at much higher res and 60fps, without any need for a patch. Same with all other games that have unlocked framerate and dynamic res.

I've not seen mention of anything from Saber Interactive yet - perhaps they dont have dev kits yet so arent able to line up to start a Switch 2 Edition? I'd love to see it come, as I've a hunt or 2 left to complete in Beauclaire and would love to do that on Switch 2 with higher graphics just to close the game out

@Poco_Lypso I guess it depends on the size of the update. If it's just a tweak to get it running and a slight performance improvement then yes sure making that free could be a good move for the company to promote customer relations and to squeeze out a few more sales. If it's a big performance update to get the best out of the new console then I for one would be happy to pay for it. Something in the region of £10. If they release a new exclusive Switch 2 edition that's been reworked with all new bells and whistles I probably wouldn't double dip but would be happy for those that get to experience an improved version of such a monumental game.

So much negativity these days. And when Cyberpunk hits Switch 2 release day, comment sections will flood with negativity that it doesn't hit the same resolution & framerate as a 550 watt, 2000USD desktop PC.

Witcher 4?

Witcher 3 was outstanding. So glad I played it on the Switch 1.

Would prefer games from them we haven't seen already on Nintendo platforms tbh

As long as the old version runs on Switch 2, I'm fine with it.

Never played Cyberpunk but got Witcher 3 on the Switch and liked a lot.
So I'm getting Cyberpunk on release and hope that they will do another miracle port of Witcher 4.

@Poco_Lypso are you talking about CD Projekt or Nintendo? It sounds like you’re talking about the Zelda Switch 2 optional upgrades for people that already own the games. You’ve paid for Switch 1 games that will still work in Switch 2. You can choose not to buy optional upgrades. I see no problem here. They need a return on the work to make the upgrades.

Also “give us paid upgrade”? Do you mean provide the option to buy an upgrade? We can always vote with our wallets.

3 has been done and dusted many times over by now.

To be fair the Witcher 3 upgrade really isn't that significant that it'll warrant a replay if you've already played the original on any hardware. There's a few upgrades here and there and some extra side missions but nothing worth getting excited over if you've already played the OG.

Also I actually don't trust CDPR anymore, it wasn't just that Cyberpunk was broken on release and wasn't in a playable state until mid 2023, over 2 years after it's initial release, it's the fact that CDPR intentionally went out of their way to manipulate the narrative around that so that pre-orders wouldn't get cancelled.

Cyberpunk 2077 was the most anticipated game of the previous decade and what we got was a generic open world shooter, albeit a very good open world shooter after 2.5 years of trying to fix it, it's still just that though, a generic open world shooter.

I am a LOT more interested in what Rebel Wolves studio is doing with Dawnwalker. This looks MUCH better to me.

This probably won't be a free update, probably not even an update for the original. The downgrade for the switch version was so huge that they should port it again to replace the textures and models.

There's definitely a good business case for them to port to the Switch 2, but they may go the route of Hogwarts Legacy and re-release rather than provide an upgrade, even a paid one.

It's likely that the performance would land somewhere between a PS4 Pro and a Series S. I'm going to stick with my PS5 copy (which was a free update from PS4).

They might just come out with a Witcher 3 Enhanced Switch 2 version, which I hope they don't just do and give previous Witcher 3 owner a upgrade pack to play on Switch 2.

Nintendo has their roadmap to the Switch 2's launch, and I'm guessing that involves some kind of... balanced game announcement/release saga, I'm sure they'll eventually talk about games many are intrigued how they'll look and run on Switch 2.
I think the Switch work on The Witcher is more Saber Interactive's work. They were the ones who made the impossible true, so who knows what they could achieve with the Switch 2. The Upgraded Next-Gen edition has tons of improvements and visual enhancements, it would be nice to see them on the new console too.

I'd love a second playthrough of the game on Switch 2 hardware - I'm not expecting a Switch 2 Edition, tbh, but I'd certainly love to see it. I actually liked the version of the game we got on Switch 1, warts and all, but I'd certainly be down for a much more polished experience.
