Community: Which Switch 2 Games Are You Wishlisting?

I'm convinced Mario Kart is going to be a massive game that is packed with content...We won't be needing anything else from first party for a few months. DK is the icing on the cake

Before I consider Switch 2 games, I need clarification if the Switch 2 games are mostly have game data inside the cartridge with exception of lazy publisher games (code in box / partial download) that using game-key cartridge.

Mario Kart World!

Mario Kart World is the only game for me. With the new game prices I'm going to have to be a lot more selective about which games I buy. I'll probably pick up Welcome Tour though if it has some nice minigames because I do like to try all the new features the system has.

Honestly DK Bananza hasn't impressed me that much. I LOVE DK64 and Bananza seems too different from that so I'll need to be convinced.

I hope for some remakes to be on switch 2 (exclusive)

For me it's Mario Kart World, BOTW and TOTK Switch 2 Editions, Fast Fusion, Nintendo GameCube classics, Street Fighter 6, Fortnite, Donkey Kong Bananza, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and Metroid Prime 4 Beyond.

With the games being pricey. I will be playing GameCube games in the meantime looking forward to Luigi’s Mansion and the Pokemon games

I’m waiting to find out if hogwarts will be an upgrade title or have to buy new. Then I’ll have a better idea of what I want. Very glad tears of kingdom is a free upgrade for nintendo online+ members though, saved myself some money there since that was also on my list.

Mario Kart, Bravely Default, and No Sleep for Kaname Date are the only real, "Get these for sure," ones. Only other one I'm really wondering about is Street Fighter and I already have it on Xbox anyway.

Guess'll probably since it's free with NSO anyway check out the Breath of the Wild remaster, but none of the other remasters really interest me at all.

@Anti-Matter It looks like first-party games will have the full games on the cart. not sure about third-parties but the only one I know that will have it all on the cart is Cyberpunk 2077.

The games i like, I just have on Steam: Split Fiction, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk.

From Nintendo i would be Mario Kart, but.....but...no battle mode?? The only mode i like to play in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? I am out.

I wont by Switch 2, i prefer waiting for the New Rog Ally. So much better for me.

I've been thinking about the pricing of games, too, and have come to the conclusion that I should only get the games I really want. That way I don't waste money on things I don't 100% want and value. Might work.

11 wants and 8 maybes! The difficulty for me right now is trying to secure a pre order (in the UK)

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond, Donkey Kong Bananza, and maybe Kirby Air Riders. Age of Imprisonment I'm thinking about. The boost to 4k or 120fps is more than I expected from the machine so 70 for each of them may be something I can adjust to.

For me only Super Mario Party Jamboree.

I've already pre-ordered Mario Kart World, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Donkey Kong Bananza and I'm going to buy Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment and Fast Fusion. I don't need wishlisting.

I mean, the first party Nintendo stuff is pretty much a given. It all looks glorious. Third partywise, if it's done right, then I'm in. Cyberpunk 2077 is day zero!

Most of the new stuff with Cyberpunk taking estimated priority for now (unless the next two months with the cat out of the bag unveil bigger temptations like NFS Unbound or native Kingdom Hearts). Might double-dip on Bravely Default if it packs the Japanese voices (and not like Minstrel Song did, dear monkey paw😅). Practically zero interest in "NS2 editions" this side of Forgotten Land's reported new story.

Want for mario kart world, both switch zelda upgrade, donkey kong bonanza, bravely default hd (wish all the game is on the cart 😕), metroid prime 4, and all the upgrade for switch 1 games that I have, like link awakening remake, etc.

I have ps5 so I bought all the big AAA 3rd party games there, so I can play it at 60 fps rather than 30 fps on switch (like elden ring and cyberpunk). Switch 120hz screen is sweet though, can't wait to play nintendo & indie games at that framerate 😃

Nothing here for me yet, I'm not into Mario Kart or DK and have played the other ports in other places.

Undecided on Switch 2 in general because of the pricing mess but will be definitely picking up the Switch 1 versions of Prime 4 and Legends Z-A.

i am a rpg fanatic. so any rpg games will catch ,my eye..

Maybe Ridge Racer 2 (if not too expensive), Street Fighter 6 Years 1+2 (deeply discounted - only interested in offline Arcade mode) and a month (or 2) subscription to NSO with expansion pack for Soul Calibur 2 mainly (plus catching up on the rest of the library).

But not going to lie; I'll probably wait for a Switch 2 Lite (with a proper D-pad), because it will be cheaper (and I have no use for the dock, detachable Joy-cons etc.) AND I'd prefer a smaller form factor/screen too.

I think the other day one game I'm kind of sold on after doing research is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. It looks really pretty and good use of mouse controls for some aspects.

I wish Mario Party was launching Day One, as I'm having a party on 7th June and I would've bought the camera and the game simply for this. Now I don't know when/if I'll get it.

Donkey Kong and Metroid are absolute yes. Pokemon, Hyrule Warriors, and Elden Ring (which isn't on this list) are maybe/likely.

I've preordered the Mario kart bundle. The games are too expensive so ill be very selective and will stick to Nintendo first party and exclusives this generation.

I'll wait for reviews on metroid and donkey kong.

Third party ill just get on steam deck or ps5 for far less money.

While I don’t a anticipate getting the console on launch day, I think my biggest interests do far are DK Bananza, Eldin Ring, and Age of Imprisonment though I’m not sure that any of those are must haves — the only must have is Silksong.

The new levels for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. What a wonderful game. It’s a shame I won’t be able to play them for a while because there is no way in hell I’m buying a switch 2 anytime soon. I’m so dissatisfied with what I’ve seen so far.

@dartmonkey I have to avoid TOTK Switch 2 edition, because I don't want to upgrade my TOTK ver. 1.1.1. I'm too burned out on scarce resources of TOTK, and I only completed the game because of the easy paraglider duplication glitch.

I think it's kind of ironic that I never felt the need to duplicate in BOTW, but with TOTK, the scarcity of some resources or zonai devices just felt too restricting for me to enjoy the game and continue playing past a certain point without the dupe glitch. Maybe BOTW's infinite bombs spoiled me, and I can't go back to not having them.😆

Fast Fusion releases so early? Nice. My two most wanted games are World and Bananza.

I think Z-A, Metroid and Air Riders will be pretty good too.

I just plan on getting the MKW bundle (if it’s still available), then BOTW + TOTK and eventually FF7R.

Of course it all depends on the games' and console's ultimate pricing here in the states (grumble grumble...), but I would certainly like to get Mario Kart World and Fast Fusion in launch week, when I'll also be playing F-Zero GX.

(The launch line-up above is missing Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, for the record—a game I will get for $60 on Switch 2, but will skip at anything more.)

I'll be picking up Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Z-A, but if the price for these games hits $80 on Switch 2, I'll have to have a long hard think. I preordered MP4 8 years ago for $60, which is crazy to think about. When PS5 and PS4 titles launch at the same price, it's hard to think Switch 2 should be doing anything different.

Kirby Air Riders is a definite (Sakurai is always a lock). I will be getting Donkey Kong Bananza. Age of Imprisonment is...unlikely.

Unless Switch 2 has analog controls, you are not going to enjoy GX at all!

I was already hoping to not be tempted into buying a new console past PS4 and Switch, and so far Nintendo and Sony are making that decision easy. DK and Mario Kart look good, but I don't need them. I'm excited for Metroid Prime 4 and Silksong but fully content to play them on my regular Switch.
The only game I really feel like I'm missing out on is Split Fiction.

@Anti-Matter yes they do. If a game does not contain every data in its cartridge, it has to be specified on the game box. So pretty much every Nintendo game we saw has everything on the cartridge

I ordered the Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle. I think I will be fine with Mario Kart World for the first few months and I want to complete some Switch 1 backlog first. Also looking forward to news about older third party games like Halo: Combat Evolved. I would be really interested to play that on a Switch 2. First party games like Donkey Kong Bananza look interesting but I don't really like the prices they are asking for these games so I am not in a hurry to play.

Only two wants for the launch line up, that's Mario Kart World and Bravely Default Remastered. Tbh even if I couldn't get a Switch 2 at launch I don't think I'd be that gutted due to the games I want the most coming later.

Ideally, I'd like to give most of the games on this list a go. Realistically, I'll probably end up owning less than half of them.

I like Mario Kart but I probably won't get a Switch 2. It's too expensive and Nintendo never lowers their prices.

I have a huge backlog of games on Switch I'm working on, all I truly want for Switch 2 games is Mary Car World and Cyborg Gunk 2017. Haven't played my copy of Tears yet so probably finally dip into that with the NSO upgrade, then wait like 2 years for all the big third parties to go on sale.

This was a fun exercise. Turns out I'm interested in MK, DK, and Kirby, and that's about it. I don't trust that the Switch 2 will run any of the more intensive games, like Cyberpunk and Harry Potter, sufficiently. I don't own a current gen console, but I can't imagine choosing to play these on Switch 2. I'll just wait until I get a PS5.

Of course that's all just from what was shown here. I don't recall everything off the top of my head but at the very least FFVII Remake, Elden Ring and Duskbloods are also in the Maybe category.

DK bananza is a yes, the Kirby forgotten land upgrade and Kirby air riders are two definite yes’s, MKW is a maybe (I held off of buying MK8D for 7 years because I already had other games to play at the time, so I can wait for a discount on MKW), PLZA is also another yes, deltarune is also another yes since I played through chapters 1 and 2, and since I really enjoy AoC I’ll likely wishlist AoI.

If I get one for Christmas (that’s the current plan; going to sell my PS5 and Switch V2 to help pay for it) I’ll probably just get the Mario Kart bundle and just play Switch 1 games on it for a while, since I’ve got a bunch of Switch 1 games I need to finish. And Metroid Prime 4 whenever it’s out. That’s really the only game I want for it right now.

Also if it goes on a sale reasonably quick I may pick up Cyberpunk and finally play that game. I was gonna a get it on PS5 but then I had the double whammy of kidney disease and then raising my son that sort of killed my ability to play home console games. I play my Switch only because I do my treatments at night and it’s portable.

Kart, DK, Metroid, Silksong, Riders and Fast are all musts for me, plus the Kirby DLC.

The tour is a joke that should be included for free. Drag x Drive I want to give a go but not if it’s also £65-75. Something tells me it won’t have an active player base much after the launch period.

Not saying it still isn't expensive, but I'd like to inform everyone that sees this comment that the physical version of Mario Kart World will cost $80 just like the digital version. The rumor of the physical version costing $90 is false.

This was confirmed to me by my dad, who works in the technical department at Nintendo of America over here in Washington State and has been able to try out the Switch 2 himself.

Metroid Prime 4 tops my list, the wait has been a long time for it. Then Mario Kart World Tour, DK Banaza and Kirby Air Riders.

There's a lot of great 1st party titles coming out the first year of the system, I might wait a bit but will definitely be picking up a Switch 2.

I should really give MPR a go beforehand though. I've played a bit of Hunters and Corruption and would be interested to know whether it's the controls that are putting me off or the gameplay itself (my biggest pet peeve in gaming is going round in loops for hours and hours without a clue where I'm suppossed to be going, and trying to find a guide for specifically what you're looking for online can be a pain. This is much bigger issue for 2D Metroid though.)

But the realistic price of Switch 2 games (as in how much of a slash they get from retailers) will determine how much I'm willing to invest in the system. And that's something we might not know until several months after the system's launch!

Mario Kart for sure, Metroid Prime 4 also since I'm not playing that one on the OG Switch when I know there is a better version. Bravely Default remaster granted that it has not been released on other platforms by the time I do get the Switch 2, I'm also quite interested in replaying Breath of the Wild on the system, maybe the bootleg F-Zero game as well by the same devs that made the other game on the Switch 1 at its release. Maybe the Pokemon game, I'm also definitely not getting that one on the Switch 1 when I know there's a better version.

There's a couple things I guess, I was thinking I may get the system by the time Metroid Prime 4 releases but at the same time the increased game prices and the cost of the system itself is just insane, like the $500 suggested price of the Mario Kart Bundle seems to translate to roughly 600 euros over where I live, it's brutal, especially in this economy.

Alot will depend on those with the current version on Switch v1 and what the upgrades will cost to get. Just a NSO not the NSO+ so I won't get that option.

I voted through the list above, but of those not listed? I want Silksong, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, and The DuskBloods. In fact, you could say those three are probably among my most wanted. I'm shocked they aren't listed here.

Not wishlisting a single thing until they decide to lower the absurd MSRP. Games are not worth $80. Nintendo didn't become the richest company in Japan because they were struggling to make money, so don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise. They're sad individuals.

If Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 can make money at $50 with visuals and scale as amazing as those (it's even up for pre-order for $45!), then so can Nintendo. Nintendo fans need to stop deluding themselves.

Mario Kart World is a maybe for me, if I manage to get in a bundle. Not a fan of racing games, but have enjoyed previous MK games. Never owned one though so a bit unsure. The def for me were Kirby Forgotten Land Upgrade and The Gamecube NSO at this stage. Kirby Air Riders is also a maybe for me! Again, love Kirby, but possibly too racing orientated for me! Will see how it goes though.

I was skeptical of Mario Kart 9, but after seeing more about it I am planning to get the bundle (with some uncertainty around what happens with pricing here in the US).

I’ll possibly be getting more digital games with switch 2 if digital ends up being cheaper. I like physical for several reasons, including lower used game prices (at least currently with switch 1), and the ability to put them in other consoles (like sharing with the kids — although with the price they’ll just be sharing my switch 2 with me for quite some time). The digital game card feature addresses the lending issue. I never sell games anymore so that is not an issue for me.

I’m not sure Nintendo is actually doing digital games cheaper going forward for switch 2 though (and if it would be cheaper than used physical copies), but at least for the Mario Kart bundle the effective $30 difference is enough to get me to go digital.

I don't mind playing extra for physical . But 75 too much. Iam a big fan of farming simulator so want to see if a good version of that released. As won't be buying ps5 or Xbox. New animal crossing and smash brothers plus . I get Amazon voucher from my job at Xmas been saving them for switch 2 so hopefully have half after Xmas just have be patient

I definitely want the new Mario Kart game, and DK looks pretty good so I’ll take that too. I always wanted to give Cyberpunk a try but I was put off by its bad launch a few years back. I wouldn’t mind giving it a try now, heard good things about the game.

I have never been rhis so little excited for a upcoming Nintendo console. Those prices killed everything för me. It’s almost the double in my country… I’ll just wait with those upcoming directs in the summer and autumn to evaluate my interest ant further then.

I don’t liked from what I saw with Nintendo’s new games on NS2. I didn’t getting that feeling yet this so far.

NS2 is 2x more poweful than PS4 but below PS4 Pro, yet I’m severely unimpressed. Something must be wrong with me.
Well, that NS2 costs $750 (console only!) here in my country is a huge blow for all my hype….

I was thinking about Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, but after learning it's supposedly a game-key card I'm a bit wary.

Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition on the other hand looks to be complete on cart, so I'll buy it.

Fingers crossed for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, but I'm not feeling hopeful for the physical version.

I'm still cautious of The Duskbloods, but if I reframe my perspective on it as a multiplayer game then I might be interested.

Donkey Kong Bananza looks incredibly fun even for someone like me who doesn't play platformers regularly so that's a must buy.

Metroid Prime 4 Beyond looks visually stunning on the Switch 2 so that's another game to get.

The launch line-up is very impressive. So many interesting games, it's a massive improvement over the launch of the original Switch.

@KoopaTheGamer Hopefully doom dark ages,asassin creed shadows and of course a shadow drop for prime 2/3 as well would be icing on the cake.

Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer... though to be honest, that could be a Switch Release. Overall I'm not pre-ordering for the moment, I do want Metroid Prime 4, but I can play that on Switch. I have Elden Ring on PS4 and my hype for the other From Software announcement dropped off a bit when I saw it was an online multi player game. Switch 2 is going to be a wait and see for me, it's the same price as a PS5 and as a racing game fan, there are probably a few more games over there I might want to play (quite disappointed for no analog triggers on Switch 2 too). I do really enjoy the portable option with Switch though, so will see how games looks after launch.

I'm so torn, I kind of want everything and nothing from moment to moment.

I think the S2 will be better overall than my Steamdeck simply because of the closed eco-system and the advantages that brings but the prices are killing me.

If a fresh clean copy of Breath of the Wild with upgrades had been all on cart and around £45 I'd have been tempted to add a copy to my collection, now I will use my og copy and the expansion pak.

I'd also have moved more of my games over to S2 but not at £70. It is just too much.

The storage situation is just bonkers too. I think the Switch 2 is about to single handedly save the Express format but it is such an expensive solution right now.

So who knows what I will finally buy.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and the Switch 2 upgrade for Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma are definite purchases so far.

I’m interested in Mario Kart World but with that $80 price tag, they are really going to have to sell me on it (unless I can snag the Switch 2 + MKW bundle). I’ll hopefully know for sure after the MKW direct.

Very interested in Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch but I’ll wait for reviews. If it’s most solid performance than I’ll be double dipping on that port.

I’ll almost certainly be getting the Switch 2 upgrade for Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Never played the first Kirby Air Ride but I’m intrigued by Air Riders.

@TheExile285 i doubt every game would be priced at $80 most likely a select few while others be $10 less then that and they keep switch 2 price at $449.

I just found out today that some Switch 2 Edition games are actually Switch 1 carts in the box with a download code for the Upgrade Pack! Man what a rip-off. I may as well buy Mario Party Jamboree second hand as cheap as I can and just pay the upgrade when I get the console.

Oh. More games on my list than I thought. Almost enough to make me cave and buy at launch. But gonna stick to holding out for Zelda edition. Will be buying digitally over time so when I get my S2 it will already have a library.

Need to find out more about the system transfer as I intend to keep my Switch.

@RiasGremory Yeah, I specifically meant that MKW being the most expensive launch title means I'm going to be more critical of it.

Like I love the look of it but I need to know what other content it's going to have. Free roam for example, looks cool but I'm hoping there's more to it then driving around and taking pictures.

I would also hope they are gonna do free updates rather than paid DLC if stuff is being added later but that's probably a pipe dream.

I was watching a Street Fighter 6 comparison video, with NS2 and PS4/5... And the Switch 2 version is so close to the PS5 version. Image quality looks almost the same. The only real difference I noticed was NS2 had the odd NPC or background detail missing. But other than that, it's looks very current gen.

I continue to be surprised by just how powerful the console is. I did not expect this at all.

3 definite: Prime 4, DK, and Mario Kart

Mario Kart, Metroid Prime 4, DK, and the Zelda upgrades all have my attention. And Fast Fusion (Fast RMX was pretty great but not quite F-Zero GX great - hoping this remedies that.) It's a great lineup. Still, I'll wait for a couple more heavy hitters before I drop my cash.

Now hopefully we get another preorder for switch 2 release date so i can put down money on that and several games coming out in the next few months.

I have no use for the Super Nintendo Switch until it has Xenoblade 4: The Friday After Next and/or Famicom Detective Club Episode 5: Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and not a moment before then.

Mario Kart is a maybe, though it would be more for my kids than for me.

Hogwart's Legacy, but I'll be waiting for a sale while I'm enjoying the version that I already have. I imagine that I will be waiting a long time.

@Zeebor15 xenoblade 4 wont be out for a while since monolith soft is working on a brand new medieval type rpg for switch 2 plus rather them do a sequel to X which needs a conclusion with a better plot this time around.

Kirby Forgotten Land and Air Riders ... maybe. Never managed to get into a Kirby game, but who knows. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is another maybe. Dynasty Warriors Origins is really impressive, even though I would really prefer the Zelda or Fire Emblem setting.

The rest is just way inferior ports of game, I've already had. Might pick up Elden Ring on sale one day, just because it is Elden Ring on a Nintendo Portable

You know in hindsight, if they didn’t want to make Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour a pack-in game or free, they could have made it a NSO or NSO + Expansion Pass benefit while also selling it to those who don’t have NSO.

I just struggle to imagine who is going to buy it even if it’s cheap.

The whole situation with the prices means games like Kirby Air Riders, Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokemon Z-A, etc. are going to make me think twice if I really want to buy the game or not.

For me, the one game I would want other than what is listed here is Genshin Impact. I figure the system should be powerful enough to support the game, and I would much prefer to play it on the go using control sticks and buttons instead of a touchscreen (i.e., using my phone).

As for GameCube NSO. Probably Not. I hate the entire monthly or annual bill payment plan, just to barely play 'spoon fed' laggy emulated GCN games. If they were sold separately, Virtual Console style, than I'd probably bite and also pick up the NSO GCN controller. As is, i have much better ways to play these games, including NES, SNES, GEN etc. Be it original hardware, EverDrives or MiSTer.

Well, if the system wasn't outlandishly priced then I would consider getting one. But $724 CAD after taxes for the system is wild.

Nintendo could have made three models of switch, hybrid, handheld, tv console, but once again they whiffed this.

Dropping that screen and Battery would reduce the price at least $250. Most of us people who want to play these games don't give two shites whether it's portable or not.

It feels strange for me to not be going for the switch 2 on lunch and being hyped for the new games, but so much of this console reveal has been soured with the crazy prices and lack of progress. Coupled with the new key card dodging I'll have to do, I'm just not that interested anymore.

I suppose I'll get one, but I'm not rushing out the door for it. It's a shame, I don't really recognise the Iwata and Reggie era that was focused on making us happy. The company feels pretty soulless these days.

@Anti-Matter Nintendo games will ALWAYS be full on cart, no matter what. 1. They don't take a lot of space. 2. They would never do it, because it's their own invention (carts). At least that from them.

All the others, I don't even want to talk about it. We all had the demo experience from buying carts for first Switch, code in a box nonsense and prelude to game-key card aka Metal Gear Solid Collection for example.

That's why I need clarification for Switch 2 game cartridge.
It seems the Switch 2 cartridge will be same like Switch 1 cartridge situation, mostly all the games have game data inside the cartridge, 1st party and 3rd party games.
Except, certain 3rd party games by lazy company like EA / Ubisoft / Konami which they can use code in box / partial download (game key card for Switch 2) to sell their games.
If the situation like that, I will not worry to get Switch 2 physical games since I believe there are 3rd party developers who still put all the game data inside the Switch 2 cartridge.

I was so turned off by the direct. I would have been so excited to see GameCube games if it wasn't for this $630CAD price tag. On top of paying $100 for the subscription. On top of paying for 'enhancement' for games I already own. It just seems like a huge rip off for those not that interested in this upgraded model. I feel like this is like the 'New' 3DS all over again with it's locked exclusives. Almost all of my friends own a Switch and not one of them is interested in Switch 2 at this point. Maybe I just am not the market for it, but for a family console it seems kind of silly to buy.

I don’t think I’m going to support Nintendo going forward given their current business model. Maybe i will change my mind when Bayonetta 4 comes out. Switch 1 was a great time in gaming it’s just a shame they got arrogant and greedy. Very disappointing.

@Anti-Matter 1st party will be full, yes. 3rd parties? You know, Switch 2 is in the age of 50+GB AAA titles. Companies won't pay for 64GB carts and everyone will see either game-key cards or something like let's say L.A. Noire where you had do download the rest of the game. It will be prety ugly, again. Smaller games should be fine, but it depends. It's Limited Run Games & co all over again situation, instead of giving people full games for even higher prices now. It's just unbeliavable to me.

So in summary, a lot of 3rd party big releases will be a game-key card. That's why Nintendo came up with this bullcrap, for them. To save their money, not buyer's and not with the idea that you can resell them. Remember, they're corporations and all they care about is profit with as little effort as possible.

Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and Kirby Air Riders for sure. I'll upgrade Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Kirby Forgotten Land and Mario Party. I'll likely get Pokemon Legends Z-A, and if so, definitely for Switch 2. Metroid is a maybe for me because I've never played the Prime games and don't know if 4 or the remastered first game would be the better starting point.

If it wasn't for Mario Kart World looking so amazing and there being a new Donkey Kong game and coming so soon on top of that, I wouldn't bother getting a Switch 2 sooner rather than later.

@Gryffin I saw gameplay of Cyberpunk/Hogwarts from the event and as I'm currently playing Hogwarts on Switch 1, you could have told me those were the PS5 games and maybe the only way I'd be able to tell otherwise would be characters' hair and beards. Peeformance was solid and one of CP2077's modes locks it at 40fps. Take that how you will, though if you play games mostly docked I'd also definitely go for PS5. No reason to miss out on the ray tracing and advanced hair physics if you don't have to.

@Chlocean thank you for sharing. That's great news. I want the Switch 2 to be powerful and to run games well, even if not for me because I'm not likely to get one soon. I think people should be able to play games how they want on what they want. I normally don't worry about the technical performance and comparison videos that I think digital foundry does(?). But this time I'm excited for some detailed videos. I'm also looking forward to hardware breakdowns so people who know what they're talking about can explain what's actually inside.

What a heavenly start!

I'm gonna get the newest SM Kart in bundle with the console, so i can't put it in my wishlist. But Metroid Prime 4 is definitely next, together with the BotW and TotK upgrades (even tho you're supposed to get them for free with a NSO subscription too).

DK Bananza can wait for now, I still have the previous title in my backlog, and CP2077 is way too expensive IMO, so I'm gonna wait for a discount for it. Elden Ring could be a good title, but I want to beat Divinity Original Sin 2 first, and it's gonna take a long while. Long lasting games have pros and cons.
