@Tasuki according to the article on the front page seems like yes, it will have all forms of multiplayer. Online, Wireless with multiple switches, and regular local coop on one system. This came out of nowhere but im looking forward to it. 2019 is getting busy already!
Developed by Team Ninja at Koei Tecmo. Licensed by Disney. I wonder how much Nintendo had to pay for the exclusivity? I guarantee it wasn't cheap. Unless this your typical timed exclusive and it shows up on PS4/XBone a year later?

@Magician Why would Nintendo pay for exclusivity on this specific title? The games have always been cross platform and Nintendo is fine with that. It might just be that the Switch has a specific playstyle that cannot be recreated with PS or X1.
Firstly, the series is a Diablo clone, specific playstyles aren't a factor. Secondly, third party developed games and platform exclusivity is something you don't often see these days. Because publishers prefer releasing their product across as many platforms as possible. So the only reason this is exclusive to the Switch is because Nintendo paid for it to be so.

@Magician Didn’t know it was a Diablo clone, but just because it is on the Switch doesn’t mean the exclusivity was paid for. Were there even direct statements by Sony addressing their supposed payment for several exclusives?

@gcunit Really? Well, there's actually two of them available on the Wii, and what they basically are, is a superhero version of a dungeon crawler (even though it's officially labeled as "action-RPG"), with interchangeable characters, meaning story lines intertwine, and you'll be playing through the game with different characters. You'll select teams of four, and then you'll use these characters one by one to progress through the story.
Personally, I liked the second one better than the first, but all in all, I found both of them entertaining enough, to play through them.
From the Wiki page:
Players can select teams of four from a range of more than twenty-two playable characters (although some characters are not initially available and need to be unlocked), allowing them to create their own superhero teams or recreate famous teams from the publications. Bonuses are also available if forming certain groups (e.g. the Avengers, Defenders, Fantastic Four, Marvel Knights, X-Men). The game also has alternative endings, dictated by the number of optional missions the player completes. Also included are trivia, artwork, and "simulator discs", which unlock non-story related missions for characters. Each character also has a variety of costumes that offer different advantages.

I don't recall any platform holder ever publicly disclosing how much they pay for exclusivity. For example, do we know how much Microsoft paid Square Enix to have Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive to the XBone for a year? How hot is the Marvel cinematic universe right now? How come the X-Men are in this game yet they weren't in the latest Marvel vs. Capcom? Believe me, money was paid.

there is one thing though, whoever Nick Fury's plastic surgeon is must be making a LOT of money because they can do great work

@Magician for Rise of the Tomb Raider MS paid for all the XB360, XB1 and P.C publishing in exchange for timed exclusivity
and as for the X-Men not being in MvCI well that's because at the time Disney didn't want to advertise any Marvel properties that were owned by FOX after the disaster of the Fant4stic movie (it got pretty nasty apparently), it's why the Fantastic 4 Comics were cancelled and the X-Men ones were put on hiatus but now Disney has brought FOX the situation has changed
basically they were left out because 2 big companies couldn't get along and it certainly impacted on the game

I know that, thanks. I'm trying to make this very point to PolarExperience. Somehow he or she believes money isn't involved with the Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Switch exclusivity.
