@Magician there is no way in this day and age that Nintendo didn't pay something for it, perhaps they did what MS did and paid for publication or maybe it's a Bayonetta 2 and 3 situation where Nintendo actually paid the development costs
but your right they would have paid something for it

@Magician I will believe that the publishing/development was paid for by Nintendo. That wasn’t my argument. I was saying that I didn’t think Nintendo paid the devs just for exclusivity instead of paying to get the project made. Giving the devs money to release the project in exchange for exclusivity is entirely possible and Nintendo has done it before.

@Bucky If Nintendo can do that it'll be a day 1 buy for me as well. I actually got the N64 mainly for Rogue Squadron, and I bought the Gamecube with Rogue Squadron 2. I loved the graphics in that game, and can only imagine what they could do now on the Switch with a Rogue Squadron 4.
But back to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, I can't wait for this game. I never got to play the first 2, though always wanted to, so I'm looking forward to this. The exclusivity does raise questions, but when doesn't it? Maybe it's an "all of the above" on the ideas raised above Or maybe Marvel, Disney, Team Ninja, and Nintendo just went to a bar together, talked about the good old times of MUA1/2, got drunk, and decided to give 3 a go

Well, there you go: Bayonetta-like situation, then. In before all the crying and outrage of Xbox/PlayStation owners that they should have a right to play this on their systems as well...
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
All this Rogue Squadron talk has me dreaming. Who could handle such a project though?? Hopefully we can have some more great third parties next year and they sell well because I think 2019 is going to be vital for Nintendo's third party support for the lifetime of the Switch and beyond.
One of the coolest things about the first 2 games (and the X-Men Legends games that preceded them) was discovering "hidden" team-bonuses based on the line-up you selected and/or the specific outfits they were in. Being a big Marvel fan, i know there were times where i'd think "oh hey, i'll put these guys together like they were in such and such a story arc or issue" and it would be a specialized team bonus with some sort of snappy name.
If you would tell me this yesterday I would have chuckled. But really cool nonetheless, I loved X-Men Legends II back in the day and whay I played of MUA was pretty neat. Hopefully Marvel will keep the quality up for console specific games.

Salt shakers instead. Folks are trying to say it looks bad. Personally after suffering through lego everything for superhero games I am happy to see real outings for folks that don't wear bats (I'm lumping spiderman ps4 in the real outing happiness) I guess marvel is ready for the standard game money again.

@Ryu_Niiyama I find it funny it’s being described as looking like a mobile game. That’s an impressive looking mobile game!! Also, this is the same art style as used in Crackdown 3. So by that logic, Crackdown 3 is also a mobile game.
I bet those saying how bad it looks wouldn’t say that if it came to their preferred platform.

If anything, that's praise for how good a mobile game can potentially look more than anything. Like it's no Uncharted 4, but it's better than...a lot of newer Marvel games now that I think about it. (poor Marvel vs. Capcom...) But it definitely doesn't look particularly fancy or something that's gonna really push the Switch's hardware either. I don't think that's a problem but I will admit that there have been...enough game releases in recent years where I defended it having disappointingly meh graphics but then found out the game wasn't particularly good regardless, so I'm not gonna immediately defend it either. And Team Ninja was making some fairly disappointing games before Nioh so...yeah. Be optimistic, but cautiously so.
I'm hoping they beef up the roster, it looks kinda meh at the moment especially if Iron Fist get's include over the likes of Daredevil, Deadpool and Venom.
I'd appreciated if some of the newer heroes like Ms Marvel, Jessica Jones or Spider Gwen would be included too as well as some more hardcore fan choices like Blade, Kid Omega or Shang-Chi.
The fact that this is a reboot of the story of the Ultimate Alliance games make it much easier for a newcomer like me to jump in. I'll probably get this in the first few weeks of its launch.
@gcunit First one is excellent, second is a bit disappointing compared to MUA1 but it's good story wise just don't get MUA2 on the Wii as it's a worse version
Personally I find the roster of this game more disappointing than Fallout 76, if not for the addition of Ghost Rider, Wolverine & Venom I would write this game off as another avengers milking cash grab. How does Ms Marvel (Kamala Khan), Hawkeye & Psylocke make it but not Cyclops, Ant Man or NICK FURY who has been the completion reward for every MUA game, not even War Machine who is basically grey Iron Man with bullets has been included, but the most disappointing part of all is the lack of Silver Surfer who is one of the funnest characters to play in the mua games and what do we get?..."Iron Fist"
