Super Mario RPG Weapon FAQs
Are all of the weapons back from the SNES version?
Yep, every single weapon that was present in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on SNES is available in the Switch remake.
They're also available in exactly the same places, too, so you don't need to fret about finding your favourite weapon all over again if you played the game in 1996.

Are there any new weapons in the Switch version?
There are a handful of new weapons in the Switch version of Super Mario RPG that are exclusive to the remake. Mallow, Geno, and Bowser all get a new weapon in the post-game.
Do any characters share weapons?
Despite there being multiple characters who use gloves (Mario, Mallow, and Peach), no character shares a weapon with another character.
What's the best weapon for each character?
If you're looking at our table as they're formatted, then the last weapon listed is the best weapon for each character.
Both Mario and Peach's best weapons are the same in the SNES and Switch versions.
In the Switch version, Geno, Mallow, and Bowser cannot get their best weapon until you've beaten the main game and taken on some of the post-game bosses. Otherwise, the weapons you get in the six-door challenge are the best weapons for those characters.
Are there any missable weapons?

No weapons in Super Mario RPG are missable. In fact, you can't even sell unique weapons, and if you do accidentally sell one, it's usually something you can rebuy either at the original item shop or in Seaside Town.
