@NeonPizza Nice see an actual retro purchase in this thread rather then my latest purchase is something something on the Wii or DS 😜
Did you get it from Nintendo or off of someone on ebay or some other third party site. I always liked the feel of the NSO controllers it's annoyed me that they didn't do the 6 button pad for the Genny. I actually got to hold the NES ones when a pair came through my work a few months ago and they felt good. I was annoyed that I couldn't buy them but that the breaks lol.
Let me know how they feel when you get your hands on them really interested to hear your opinion.

@NeonPizza The SuperStation will be using the SNAC for the PS1 ports I suspect. It wouldn't surprise me if an adaptor appears at some point so you can use original controllers via those ports.
@NeonPizza I just checked it out, thanks! However, I am getting a little motion sickness as I am not moving but the scene is moving. They look really good but still a video.
BUT I will definitely try some 360 videos in VR to get accustomed to the motions
@NeonPizza I don't really have any nostalgia for the old Nintendo consoles - being in the UK I was more into home computers like the C64 and Amiga, then I got a Mega Drive/Genesis as my first console - so I'm glad it isn't styled on an NES/SNES.
Last weekend, I found a copy of Armoured Core: Last Raven for ps2 at a local Gamestop for a good price. Copy works, and comes with the manual. Tried it and, well, turns out earlier Armoured Core is a little hard to get into. I might need to start with another entry (even the original)
I actually have a disc only ps3 copy of For Answer I found at a yard sale... for 25 cents. But I need a ps3 to play and try it.
@NeonPizza 😂 I'm not sure I had GI Joe on the C64, although that character select screen looks familiar. GI Joe wasn't that popular in the UK as far as I remember, although I'm sure my younger brother did have a couple of the action figures - I definitely remember the Snake Eyes one. My older brother still has the C64 and Amiga's I think - we had an Amiga 500, but he also bought a 1200 and a CD32 for himself when he started earning some cash as he would've been about 16 or 17 when the 1200 came out.
The MiSTer is something I 've always wanted to get at some point, but could never really justify the cost given I've already got an Analogue Pocket - until the MiSTer Pi was announced. I ended up ordering the SuperStation One instead though. The convenience of an all-in-one box instead of having to figure out all the parts needed for a MiSTer won me over in the end - and, as you say, it looks a lot nicer than a MiSTer.
I'm kinda similar in what I'd consider Retro - anything pre-CD for me - so, apart from my Mega Drive, the SuperStation One will be surrounded by older-but-not-quite-retro consoles like the Dreamcast, Wii, PS2 etc, although I'm always looking out for older stuff I didn't have back in the day, so might pick up an NES or SNES some day.
Another amazing retro (with the exception of the Switch game) haul!
Those games bring many childhood memories! Especially Ninja Gaiden!
The only bad thing is that the site I love to order from is located in the UK and I have to wait a month to get my orders because of the customs AND have to play VAT as well
PS: I HATE Brexit! I wonder how many small stores closed because its customers from the EU stopped shopping from the UK.
Time for a monthly update. Back with more PS games because why not? The most I'm excited on is clearly Thousand Arms. Took me a long time to finally get this bad boy to come home with me at a respectable price. Wouldn't be surprised if anyone here hasn't heard of it. A real gem this game is!
Today I finally received a package containing a game that in a few months will be 20 years old. And I have a hard time accepting it.
It is a CIB copy of Jump Super Stars for the Nintendo DS.
Unlike Jump Ultimate Stars, this one isn't as import friendly. You can still get the gist of what to do or use a translator, but to evolve a Help character into a Support or Battle character you have to fill empty panels with 1, 2 or even 3 characters, figuring out what empty panels belong to who is the real challenge. Jump Ultimate Stars mitigates this by having an evolution tree for each character in its place.
Back again, this time I got a cheap copy of Tingle's Balloon Fight DS that just popped up in my area out of nowhere.
A Japanese Club Nintendo Platinum reward from 2007. Back then it was either this or a Wiimote with your Mii's face on it.
Apparently it's not just Balloon Fight with Tingle on it, there's a gallery with unlockable images. The last one is of Tingle going out with two Nintendo secretaries.
Anyway, after this purchase, I hope to not buy anything else if I want to get a Switch 2, not at launch though.
@Arcwave
I wonder when Square will finally give us a true legit Parasite Eve Sequel for either Switch 2 or PS5.
The original was masterclass back in it's day. It's atmosphere and overall vibe were weirdly haunting and wildly different than something like Resident Evil. It's grotesque 'human to monster' transformation CG cut scenes hit pretty hard, and for somebody like me who cannot play RPG's with turned based combat, PE's free roaming combat system did the trick. It was both unique and enjoyable.
Never played PE2 before, I hear it plays closer to the RE trilogy, but it's nowhere near as memorable.
Brand new 2024 Reissue of Egon Spengler from the Fright Features lineup, from 1986. The nostalgia is in full force with this one.
Bart Simpson Jakks Plush. You're next Homer!
Hyperkin Cadet NES controller for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I can't stand how it looks, it's totally butt-ugly. Doesn't get any worse than this. It's hideous, but it's actually a little more comfortable than the original NES controller I'd say thanks to the smoother edges and back side ergonomics. Buttons all feel solid, except the D-pad which is a little too hard/stiff, aside from being obnoxiously loud. This Controller is just temp' until i get some better condition OEM NES controllers, with new quality silicone pads to make the buttons feel just as good as they once were. As for the Cadet, it's awful design & loud D-pad area deal breakers imo. Avoid like the Noid'!
I'll be using this with my RetroUSB AVS until I get another actual NES that's been de-yellowed, has a renewed hand polished OEM Pin connecter that works like new, disabled lock out chip to eliminate blinking, and that's been cleaned from the inside out. Ahem, and then a Top Loader NES with a Multi-Out port mod.
It is not a purchase, but my cousin gifted me the PS2 of his kid because he was not playing it anymore and it was juts collecting dust. He knew that I am only missing a PS2 from my console collection and today when we were going home from visiting them for Easter, I saw the PS2 and its accessories in the trunk of the car
Now I have all generations of Playstation YEAH!!!
Still, I have to clean it really good as it is really dirty and never been opened!
Today I got 2 new additions to my Castlevania collection! Castlevania The New Generation better known as Bloodlines and Super Castlevania 4! Really happy about those 2!
